Justin: Why is the dog coughing?
Me: I don't know. He's been bad, so it's probably karma.
J: What?
Me: Nothing.
J: Oh yeah. That reminds me. I had a cough this morning, too.
Me: Did you think you got it from the dog?
J: What?
Me: I said, was it kennel cough?
J: I don't even know what that is.
Me: It's what the dog would have.
J: The dog has kennel cough?
Me: No. It was a joke. You said it reminded you that you had a cough like you would've picked it up from him, so it would be kennel cough.
J: Do people even get that?
Me: Never mind.
